Elishema: A Rising Star in Soulful Pop Music
Hailing from the vibrant South Side of Chicago, Elishema is quickly becoming a name to watch in the music industry. Known for her soulful blend of R&B and Pop, this talented singer, songwriter, and music producer captivates audiences with her inspirational lyrics and magnetic stage presence.
Influenced by legends like Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Brandy, Elishema’s sound is a unique fusion of vocal elegance, warmth, and power. Her music, which she describes as “Music for Empowerment,” is characterized by themes of optimism, sophistication, passion, and confidence.
Elishema made her official entry into the music scene in 2010 with her jazzy R&B single “Sophisticated Man,” which received positive feedback from both internet and specialty commercial radio stations, winning fans around the world. Her 2011 debut album “New Beginnings,” released under her indie label Inway Records, is a 14-track collection of soulful R&B and Pop tunes that laid the foundation for her career. In 2018, she released her sophomore album “Break A Sweat For Me,” and the funk-inspired single “Can’t Keep Runnin Back,” which reached #35 on the DRT Charts.
In 2023, Elishema took a significant step forward by collaborating with renowned music producer Sujith Kurian and Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Jackie’s Boy on the empowering track “Giants,” showcasing her growth and versatility as an artist.
Elishema’s live performances are already making waves. She has opened for legendary acts such as the Chi-Lites, Kelly Price, Chaka Khan, and Frankie Beverly & Maze. She has shared the stage with notable artists like Jazz of Dru Hill, K’Jon, and Noel Gourdin, and has performed special tributes, including one for Kool and the Gang in Chicago. Her commitment to the community is evident in her charity concerts for senior citizens and her participation in various events throughout Chicago, including singing the national anthem at special events sponsored by Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White.
Elishema’s presence is felt both locally and internationally. As of 2024, she continues to release new music, driven by her passion to inspire and empower listeners. Elishema is undeniably a rising star, with her relentless passion and commitment to her craft positioning her as a significant emerging talent in contemporary R&B and Pop music.
